In this blog, we are going to cover different types of chemical reactions and Equations.
TYPES OF CHEMICAL REACTIONS
1. Combination Reaction.
2. De-combination Reaction.
3. Displacement Reaction.
4. Double Displacement Reaction.
This is a type of Reaction in which two or more than two elements or compounds react together to form one Compound.
Example:- Ca(calcium) + O2—–> CaO (Calcium Oxide)
Q. Write some uses of (CaOH)2 Calcium hydroxide?
Ans:- Calcium hydroxide is used in Paper production, for treatment of water, on construction sites and also in food processing. Also used in making of the cement.
What is the Difference between Exothermic Reaction and Endothermic Reaction?
Exothermic Reaction: This is a type of reaction in which heat is released during the reaction process. Example:- CaO + H2O ——> Ca(OH)2 + Heat
Endothermic Reaction:- This is a type of reaction in which heat is absorbed from the atmosphere during the Reaction. Example:- Melting solid salts, Melting ice cubes.

This is completely opposite of the combination Reaction. In this reaction, one compound gets decomposes into two or more than two compounds. Example:- FeSO4 (ferrous Sulphate) (heat)——> Fe2O3 (Ferric Oxide) + SO2 (Sulphur dioxide) + SO3 (Sulphur tri-oxide).
Q. What is the color of the crystals of FeSO4 and Fe2O3?
Ans: The color of Ferrous sulfate (FeSO4) crystals is Green, whereas the color of Ferric Oxide (Fe2O3) is Reddish-Brown.
Q. What is wafting gas?
Ans:- The gases which can stay lightly over water are called wafting gas. SO2 (Sulphur dioxide) and SO3 (Sulphur trioxide) gas are known as wafting gas.

Ans: 1. Photolytic Decomposition reaction.
2. Electroyoyic Decomposition reaction.
3. Thermal Decomposition Reaction.
Photolytic Decomposition Reaction:- This is a type of Reaction in which I the presence of sunlight the reaction takes place. OR When any single compound gets decomposes in two or more than two elements or compounds in the presence of Sunlight then that’s known as Photolytic Decomposition Reaction.
Electrolytic Decomposition Reaction:- This is a type of reaction in which we use electricity to decompose compounds. Or any reaction in which a single compound Decomposes into two or more than two compounds in the presence of Electricity is known as Electrolytic Decomposition Reaction.
Thermal Decomposition Reaction:- This is a type of Reaction in which heat is used to decompose materials. Or When any compound gets decomposes into two or more than two compounds by using heat is known as a thermal decomposition reaction.
This is a type of reaction in which highly reactive metal displaces the less reactive metal from its position.

The reaction of elements with oxygen is known as Oxidation.

Ans:- Oxidation of Metals is known as Corrosion. Oxidation of Iron is Known as rancidity.

Ans:- The Oxidation of fat and oil-containing food is known as Raincidy. This makes the food and rancid in taste. and if you’ll eat the rancid food then it can even cause food Poisoning.
How can we prevent Raincidy?
Ans:- Rancidity can be prevented by the following methods:-
- It can be prevented by using antioxidants like BHT and BHA.
- By nitrogen flushing.
